The citation checking system is rigorous and the quality evaluation loop catches most errors. Nevertheless, AI systems make mistakes. All citations, case references, and legal principles in any memorandum must be independently verified by the receiving practitioner before use in court pleadings, heads of argument, legal opinions, or any other formal legal document.
The law changes.
South African legislation is amended. Court judgments develop and occasionally reverse established positions. A Legal Eagle Platform memorandum reflects the legal position as captured in available sources at the time of generation. The practitioner is responsible for confirming the legal position relied upon is current at the time of use.
